Wings as Eagles

Today I have simply a passage of scripture. Read it. Soak it in. Let its words penetrate you today. You are going through ‘something’ today and in the midst of our world. God knew your ‘something’ before it was. He was thinking of you. He is thinking of you all the time. He is our rest, our hope, our strength. Rest in that knowledge today.

Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard? The LORD is the everlasting God; he created all the world. He never grows tired or weary. No one understands his thoughts. He strengthens those who are weak and tired. Even those who are young grow weak; young people can fall exhausted. But those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Hey! I'm Jennifer. I've been writing since a young age (my first A+ graded poem was written in grade 5...the teacher thought I had copied it from a book!) I have been living the chaotic and sometimes downright wacky life of motherhood for over 9 years now. I'm craving growth, newness and spontenaity, thus this blog was born. I love to sing, often to the dismay of my 2 children, explore in nature, and sip a cup of tea while reading a book. I'm an introvert who loves talking to people but craves my time of regeneration when I'm alone, especially after a busy day. I love time spent with God alone with His Word and what I can learn from Him. My life is far from perfect, and I'm learning that one day at a time I am growing, I am learning and I am changing. It's not easy, and it's not quick, but it is ongoing. I'm not sure that I'll ever grow up....really, so I've decided to grow into up. Never quite there, but I'm choosing to never stop growing either.

    I’m also reading N. T. Wright’s book Simply Christian and learning and reinforcing lots of ideas. He would be worth your reading as well. (Any book my him is worth reading. He is considered one of the world’s best NT scholars.) 🙂
